The escape detox

Introduction
to Escape
My
name is André Stucki, I`ve worked for decades in many
functions with people addicted mainly from
hard drugs. Over the years, regarding the
seriousness of the problem overcoming an addiction, it
was a challenge from everyday work to
try to find more efficient ways of supporting the
process of attaining freedom from addiction. In
1996, after some years building up and running residential
treatment centers and a detox clinic, the questions on
how to react to the changes in addiction
treatment found new answers. The
decision was made to build an outpatients treatment system
(for socially integrated opiate addicts who wish to get rid of
their problem) which should meet two main goals:

to reduce symptoms of opiate detox as much as possible,
provide optimal support in handling the complex physical
and emotional withdrawal situation and implement the results
of medical and neurophysiological research in detox and
treatment process.

to offer treatment (including detox) at a price,
that is affordable for most integrated addicts. (On
a monthly base it is cheaper than addiction anyway, but on a
yearly base also cheaper than substitution. This turned
out to be a political issue – see article in the
"Tages Anzeiger", a big Swiss newspaper (sorry,
German only).

The
research leads to a very efficient way to detox. The
process is supported directly by stimulation of
endorphine production in the brain, a phenomenon
that was first described by Dr. Patterson in the
late seventies. For
this purpose, we developped a stimulation device
named "Neuro Jet VIII".
Following
the testing and scientific evaluation of the
effects of stimulation to the human brain undergoing
an opiate detox, we learned how to tune the
stimulation for maximum results.
Then
we found ways to overdrive the limitiations
(only specific receptor systems are affected) of
this approach with adequate medication.
The
Escape detox protocol sets a new standard, the

such compulsive behavior occurs, we offer relapse

addiction,
for
those who suffer from long term methadone addiction,
the benefits are enormous. For this “age-old
problem” of thousands of methadone dependents in
many countries with little perspective of overcoming
this chronic problem, escape outpatient treatment programs offer a safe way to rehabilitation.
